DIY Pumpkin Face Mask

If you can’t tell from my other blog posts… I kinda like pumpkin. But that’s because you can use it in so many things! And I can make all those things myself! Case in point- this easy peasy, super nutritious diy pumpkin face mask! There are only two, all natural ingredients- and I bet half of those are sitting in your kitchen on a shelf already!

Pumpkin is full of wonderful things for your skin. It’s full of antioxidants, enzymes, fatty acids and vitamins that your skin is craving. Combine all those with the antibacterial and moisturizing properties of honey and you’ve got yourself one vitamin packed facial mask. Plus, don’t you just feel better knowing that these ingredients are safe and natural? This is one beauty product you could eat if you really wanted to.

All you need is:

2 tbl pumpkin puree (see my recipe I have linked, or canned is fine too!)

1 tsp organic honey

Mix the two up, slather on a clean face with a cosmetics brush. Leave on for 20 minutes. While waiting, read about what other wonderful creations you can make with a pumpkin! Or just chill and let the pumpkin mask do it’s thang.

Rinse off and follow up with your normal moisturizer!

And that’s it! I hope you all enjoy!

(Disclaimer: As with any skin product, it is important to do a small patch test before you slather it all over your face. Regardless of the known benefits of honey and pumpkin, it will not do you any good if you are allergic to them! Practice skin care responsibly!)
